Book Of Enoch 3- See: The 200 Fallen Angels Who Fell After The Devil And His Angels

After writing on the hierarchy of angels, a few days ago and mentioning that the devil is not the most powerful fallen angel,

I got a lot of criticism for not including the hierarchy of fallen angels. However, I think its best we get into it step by step, I can learn from my readers as they can also learn from me, we can do that without throwing insults around in the comment section.

Talking about the fallen angels, I mentioned that according to the book of Enoch, there are supposedly two sets. The first, led by the devil, who fell when he tried to take over heaven or according to Islam, decided the man was too little for him to bow to. After reading the book of Enoch, amongst other books, I have found that there was actually another set. The book of genealogy, genesis, backed this up in its contents.

In the book of genesis, the devil was said to have come down to tempt Eve into eating the apple (probably not an actual apple. We will discuss this later). After Adam ate the apple, God came down, and out of anger and disappointment, he placed a curse on both men, his partner, and the snake. The snake in that story was the devil, that is clear. Now, this makes it clear, that the devil fell right at the beginning of the book of genesis.

Genesis 6:1–4 1 When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. 3 Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward when the sons of God came into the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.

However, if you read further, you will notice verses that talked about certain angels who came down to the daughters of men. The book of revelation described a time in civilization when some angels saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, so they came down and took wives for themselves. They had children and these children were the giants of old.

Now, from the above explanations, rationally, we can deduce that there are two sets of fallen angels. Although the book of Genesis made it known to us that the second batch of angels fell, it didn't, however, tell us their names or that of who led them. It only gave the specifics.

The book of Enoch in its beauty gives us a clearer picture. In the book of Enoch, we are given the understanding that these angels that fell in the time of Enoch were 200. According to the book of Enoch, when a man had fallen from grace and had been chased out of his first estate, he went on into the world with his partner and multiplied on the face of the earth.

After years of civilization, these 200 angels were sent down to watch over children of men. These angels were called "Watchers". From the name given to them, it is obvious that they were given the assignment to watch over men. However, in the course of watching over men, they got tempted by the beauty of the daughters of men and went down unto them.

Civilization became corrupted by the knowledge they taught their wives and those they taught men. The world became overrun by evil and abominations. Hence, the flood.

The Watchers revealed occult secrets to mankind. They went against God’s will and taught humans not only various creative arts, but valuable knowledge related to science and technology, agriculture, the use of cosmetics, metallurgy, medicine, astrology, astronomy, and much more was also a gift from the Watchers to mankind.

Unfortunately, the Watchers also taught humans how to engage in war.

It gets interesting because Enoch served as an intercessor for these angels. He is described in the book to have interceded on their behalf, however, it was too late. God then sent down angels to bind the chiefs of these 200 watchers angels. Deep beneath the ground, deep beneath the sea, so were they bounded.

These further prove that there are two sets of fallen angels as the Bible didn't record the angels who fell with the devil being bound. The Bible only described the fall of the devil and his subordinates from heaven, it didn't mention anything about them being bounded.

The watchers were probably like other angels, different in hierarchies. Some of these watchers were described by Enoch to be chiefs. I.e. leaders of these watchers. This perhaps connotes a difference in hierarchies amongst these angels. Some could have been in leagues of powerful angels, hence making them chiefs. Whilst others were lesser in hierarchies.

The watchers were Led by the angels Semyaza and Azazel, the Watchers came to Earth on Mount Hermon, where they mated with human women. This resulted in the birth of bloodthirsty hybrid giants and later led to the Great Flood.

There is no complete record of the names of all 200 Watchers, but some of their names are mentioned. The two most important of these Watchers were Semyaza and Azazel, who was later considered to be a demon and is occasionally identified as the devil, or as one of his chieftains.

Azazel who was the leader of the Fallen Angels is often identified with Lucifer (the Lightbringer) or Lumiel (‘the light of God’).

Unfortunately, after some of these watchers were bounded others were left to roam free. The flood came and it wiped out the giants and humans. However, it didn't wipe out these fallen angels. It is said that they went into other countries where they went on to teach these occult secrets and probably become gods over the later civilization of man.

They probably went on to have children after the flood. The Bible described the Israelites fighting off some giants in a land called Canaan, however, the book of Genesis records that the flood took of all life except that of Noah and his family. So the question is, where did these second set of giants come from?
