Why we will not sell Meat and onions in Nigeria this Christmas--Miyetti Allah

In this interview with Sahara reporters, he pointed out the reasons why there will be no Sales of onions at all or cow meat anywhere in Nigeria this Christmas for some serious reasons which people must know.

In his statement he said " The reason why we had this urgent meeting was because we have decided that there maybe no sales of meat and onions this Christmas because of the following reasons:

1. We noticed that for the past five year, despite all our efforts to make cow meat available in different parts of the country, especially in the south east, South-south, Western Nigeria and in the middle belt. 

There has not been any form of appreciation both from the federal government and the Igbos especially.

Further more, there has been a very low purchase of cow meat in that region especially in Enugu State, which we believed to have resulted from our previous decisions to shut down meat markets in Enugu in 2019 for over 4 months. This time we will entirely stop the transportation of onions from north to anywhere in Nigeria.

Another problem is the cost of transportation in transporting cows from North to South, which in turn will not bring out mass purchase. 

That is not how to do business, as the igbos are not appreciating our efforts to make meat available in Nigeria. 

Apart from all these, the entire South East Governors  apart from imo state has deliberately refused to give us part of their lands to rear our cattle and this has resulted to very low yield of cow products since then and most times our cattle die of starvation here in the north because of hot weather.

They will only understand our value during their Christmas celebration and other festivity period when everyone will want to eat meat. At least this  decision will result to big change and cooperation by the people living in south.

Not just entire South East/ sout-south alone and if possible Nigeria entirely will not see meat until the Nigerian government agree to enforce the new order that all lands belongs to the government and not state Governors or mere humans.
