Donald Trump's Statement That Might Cause More Problems Than Coronavirus.

Since the coronavirus outbreak ,many people have come up with solutions they think might help keep the virus at bay.

In Coastal Kenya for example,they was a 'myth' suggesting that the virus could be treated using sugarless black tea. Scared Kenyans spent nights cooking and drinking sugarless black tea without knowing that its just a myth going round .

When such a baseless myth comes from a prominent person ,it might end up causing a lot of problems all over the world .


Recently the president of United States of America Donald Trump posted to his twitter account ''HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE & AZITHROMYCIN, taken together, have a real chance to be one of the biggest game changers in the history of medicine. The FDA has moved mountains''. According to Trump the anti malaria drugs are the 'game changer' in the fight against the coronavirus .The world is desperate for a cure or a vaccine and this Trump's statement might lead to people dong the unimaginable.

Anthony Fauci, director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, during White House briefings where Trump praised the drugs’ potential to cure coronavirus , said that the president was talking about hope for the American people .Meaning that according to Fauci the presidents remarks had no scientific proof and he was only giving hope to the citizens.


In Nigeria there are allegations that some people died due to anti malarial drug overdose .They were trying to treat themselves using the drug since they thought that the message by Trump was true.Even in Arizona a man died trying to protect himself from coronavirus . The man is said to have used a toxic form of chloroquine.


In Brazil ,the president ordered the military labs to speed up the production of the drugs since panic buying have started .The Brazilian president is also supporting the move by Trump to spread the gospel that malarial drugs actually heals coronavirus.

In Kenya the distribution and selling of this drugs is banned so as to protect the Kenyans against' the Trump theory'. Respect for scientific procedures and facts is very important but president Trump seems not to care.I hope people all over the world will be cautious of things they follow from political leaders , to avoid being victims of such baseless myths .
